Drakè Resto Druid
« on: 04 September, 2011, 10:58:13 pm »
ABOUT YOU:

Applications type (social/raider): Raider/PvP i head you sometimes do rbgs
Name: Alexander Drake
Age: 26
Country: Belgium
What other games apart from WoW do you play?: Battlefield series, TF2, Rome Total War
A bit about yourself: I graduated in commerce but i needed more interaction with people ergo i found my studies and job as a numbercruncher boring so i decided to work in a factory that makes carseats during the nightshift. Some might think thats crazy giving up a good job for manual labor but i prefer going to work every day with a smile instead of slowly sliding in a depression because you don't like your life or job as it is. I hope that tells a bit about myself. Objectively it was a bad choice i agree but in the end does it matter what job you do or how much you make?

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER:

Character name: Drakè
Class: Druid
Spec(s): Resto PvE / Resto PvP offspec
Level: 85
Professions: JC/Alch
How often do you play WoW (typical weekly playtime and which hours)?: about 20-30hours a week
What high level alts do you have?: lvl 85 hunter and some other i still need to transfer + level to 85 from 80

ABOUT YOU AS PLAYER:

Do you have Teamspeak? (Voice communication is essential to our raiding, although it is not required to have a mic unless you apply as tank): Yes

List the relevant raiding add-ons you use: Healbot, Xperl, ora

We expect all members to attend any raids with food and flasks to last the whole raid night and being repaired and ready to pull at 20.00

Our Raid times are from 20:00 to 0:00 server time with invites starting at 19:30; are you able to be available for the whole duration?
Thursday: No
Sunday: Yes
Monday: No

Have you been in another guild? Ive been in a few high end raid guilds from tbc till end of wotlk
Which one(s)? And why did you leave? I was in Valour and Bridgeburners on Emerald Dream, I wanted a change of decor in cata and went to nagrand where i stayed in a guild called brotherhood of shadows but it was a social guild and i was on a bit of a raidingbreak. But since nagrand is nearly dead hordeside i decided to move again. I looked up some numbers and ended with three realms Draenor, Al'akir and grim batol and so i ended up here.

Please list your relevant raid experience, stating which encounters you have personal experience of at the current level cap: In cata ive got 12/12 with a few hc modes, firelands i know the tacs but seeing my previous guild was just social i ended up with 2/7 from pugs.

IMPORTANT:

Now when you are done with the "basics", we want you to explain a little about different aspects of your character.

Character:
Why did you chose the class you are now playing and the professions you selected?: JC/alch give me a slight edge in intellect and every bit helps and well druid fits my style of play. Ive tried shaman as priest but no other class gives me the output and hps as druid does

Talent specialisation:
Would you be willing to change your build for the guild?: If need be i would
Do you have two viable PvE speccs?: No

Gear:
Do you feel your character is sufficiently geared to compete in the Fireland encounters?: From the encounters ive participated in yes.
Where do you think your current equipment is lacking now?: 90% of the drops in firelands would be an upgrade so everywhere atm. But I always valued skill over gear. Being the fact that my pve gear is ilvl 361 is not a handicap. I'm confident that i can do the same healing as any other healer in the guild and should i be mistaken then getting upgrades will only make me better and do more hps.

Guild:
Do you know anyone in MoX who can vouch for you?: No
Why you want to join MoX?: from what i understand its a stable and longlasting guild. Social aspects aswell as raiding progress with a dash of pvp. sounds good to me
What type of guild are you looking for? The one i mentionned above.

What are your goals in wow, what do you want to achieve and how long do you plan to keep playing? I intend to keep playing till blizz keeps the support up. I have no real goals aside from making friendships and having fun

Additional Information:

Confirmation that you have read, understood and agree to abide by the MoX Charter: Yes

Is there anything else you feel is relevant to your application or that you would like us to know? When typing in your applicationform your text always shifts to the top. very annoying when typing. ;)

A restoration Druid is something we really could use... But to be applying for a position as raider, while you are only able to come one out of the three raiding nights, is a bit problematic, as you might imagine... Now don't get me wrong, we don't mind it if someone isn't able to come every single raid, but if you can't at least reach a 50% attendance on a regular basis, you aren't very likely to get into a raider spot.

If you mean something else by entering "no" at thursday and monday (that you for example can't attend every week, or that there is a time restriction) it wouldn't be that much of a problem:) But if you really are only able to come on sundays always, we can't really offer you a position in our raiding team. We do however always have room for social member, and we do try to organise raids to either Firelands or the somewhat older content with a combination of social members who wish to raid and alts of raiders.

Also, I totally have no issue with my text jumping upwards, I only had that on the old text editor on MMO-champion. Maybe it is your browser, or an addon?

The problem is that at the moment i can not attend those days cause of my workinghours. I am however planned for a transfer so when a spot opens in another shift i can take that place and then have 100% raidattendance.

Having led some raids in wotlk i know that you don't have the same group on all your raiddays therefor you could see me as a backup in case a healer cannot make it on a sunday wich isn't really an odd thing happening i imagine. I have no problem sitting out a week from raiding untill my worksituation changes. Having one raid every 2-3weeks is better then having no raid at all.

I spoke to Sagiv last night and we came to the conclusion that as you can't currently attend most raid nights, a social trial would be more appropriate (for now).
This is to see if you fit in with the guild and ofcourse, see if you like it in MoX.
And while your on the trial you would be able to fill any missing healer spots we may have on a Sunday.
If all go's well, as soon as your able to attend more raids you can request to be put on raider trial so you can show us your attendance/skills  etc.
Hope I've made sence :) if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask.
If you /W me Angeldeelite or Kazmer/muffintop we can get this started :)

Well Sagiv doesn't and he's Dutch, that's who it's aimed at, but thanks.

Good luck on your trial Drake!

Off topic:
Hehe, you know I like to be special right Deelite :P
But the notation with the month upfront is just for recordskeeping's sake :)
Thinking about it, it's probably more common to use year-month-day instead of month-day-year xD
